PARKWAY TREES - Any change to existing trees in the parkway (the area between the sidewalk and the street) requires a Landscape Application, and approval of the BHA Landscape committee and the Board. Any violation of this practice can be complicated and expensive.
MORE SECURITY TIPS FROM THE L.A. POLICE DEPARTMENT
Supplementing our list sent in the April 8th Bulletin, here are more items of importance:

Every window in the house has a working lock and is secured when closed. | Yes / No |

Shrubs and bushes are trimmed so there is no place for someone to hide. | Yes / No |
There are no dark areas around the house or yard at night that could hide prowlers. | Yes / No |

Photocell or motion-sensitive switches are installed to activate outdoor lighting after dark. | Yes / No |

Bicycles are secured with a U-bar lock or padlock and chain. Lock bikes at all times, even if left for only a few minutes. | Yes / No |
Make a photo inventory of all valuable items, keep it up to date, and keep copies in more than one secure location. This can be important in case of an insurance claim. | Yes / No |
