DRC & LRC Volunteers Needed
The association is currently seeking active volunteers to join the Design Review Committee (DRC) and the Landscape Review Committee (LRC).

The DRC which reviews applications for new and upgraded houses has an opening for one member. Persons interested ideally should have some experience in architecture and house design.

The LRC reviews applications concerning the overall landscape design and seeks members with experience in landscape planting, design, and hardscape. Arborists or tree knowledge would be a plus.

Garbage Collection on Saturday
Due the Los Angeles city workers’ strike this past Tuesday, residential collection services will be delayed by one day this week. Garbage bins should be brought to the curb on Friday for pick up on Saturday, August 12th.

LADWP Back to Watering 3 Days/Week
As a result of all your water conservation efforts during the statewide water emergency mandate over the past year and a record snowpack created by the unprecedented amount of precipitation earlier this year, the City of Los Angeles has returned to three-days-a-week outdoor watering under the City’s Phase 2 Emergency Water Conservation Ordinance.

As of July 27, 2023, all LADWP customers can go back to watering three days a week on designated days. Customers with street addresses ending in odd numbers may water on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays; and customers with even-numbered street addresses may water on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, before 9:00 a.m. and after 4:00 p.m., when the evaporation rate is appreciably lower than during the middle of the day.
